Marketing Manager Full Time

Fit is seeking a Marketing Manager to join an established team providing support for graphic design, brand management, marketing, public relations, advertising, and social media.  This individual will be reporting to and working directly with the Director of Communications.  Salary is in the $45K range depending on experience plus benefits.

• Serve as graphic designer, creating design elements for events, invitations, promotional materials, and collateral across departments
• Serves as copywriter, designer, and curator of the company’s email newsletters, as well as variations of email communications
• Responsible for writing educational, promotional, and other content, including issue updates, email newsletters, member profiles, blog posts, and PowerPoint presentations
• Serves as backup staff photographer/videographer
• Manage internal print needs (letterhead, envelopes and business cards)
• Create design elements for the local branding campaign, shop local initiative and other branding projects
• Works with VP to ensure that department goals and objectives are met
• Attends staff, departmental meetings and safety and health training, as required, in a timely manner
• Ability to be self-sufficient, independent, and resourceful
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign)
• Knowledge of print production setup:  Bleeds, Color Modes, etc.
• Digital Marketing experience is a plus
• Must have Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment
• Ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors and members face to face
• Ability to communicate clearly, orally, in writing, and uses emotional intelligence to work through challenges and issues
• Strong organization and time management skills
• Ability to multitask and handle strict deadlines
• Ability to proof projects and catch any spelling, grammatical or layout errors
• Must be able to demonstrate effective public speaking skills
• Must be able to effectively deal with volunteers, the media and the public in a congenial manner
• Must be able to use applied knowledge to formulate positive solutions to problem situations
• Must have above average computer skills including Microsoft Office Programs
• Must be able to work well under pressure and manage priorities.
• Must be able to demonstrate organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must be adaptable to change with short notice
• Participates in conferences and training as directed
• Position requires meetings and activities outside of regular work hours; must be flexible
