Senior Human Resource Generalist Full Time

Fit is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join a growing team in Mobile, Alabama. This position is responsible for leading employee engagement initiatives, administrating and managing employee surveys and reviews, assisting and recruiting and onboarding needs, special projects and reports. Salary ranges from $65,000 – $70,000 depending on experience with competitive benefits plus bonus.

Responsibilities:

• Support the company’s workforce by answering employment-related inquiries from employees and managers as well as referring complex and sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
• Develop and manage employee engagement activities
• Serve as leader of the employee engagement committee
• Manage annual employee engagement surveys including scheduling, administration, and reporting
• Manage employee recognition programs
• Manage the performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and completion
• Assist HR Director with the management of company’s remote work program including communications, training scheduling, program and policy effectiveness, and evaluate and implement program enhancements
• Partner closely with HR Director to ensure key HR initiatives/projects are communicated and executed effectively
• Assist in the recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring a positive candidate and new hire experience
• Conduct exit interviews
• Track and report turnover and exit interview data monthly
• Assist with management of COVID-19 protocols including exposure, testing, quarantine, and vaccination
• Assist with the management and tracking of FMLA and other forms of leave of absence
• Generate, analyze, and distribute various monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports as needed
• Serve as the HR representative on various committees
• Coordinate and assist with special projects and programs as assigned
• Create PowerPoint presentations for various meetings and training sessions
• Respond to employee inquiries in a timely manner
• Work with managers to create and update job descriptions
• Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to recruit and fill vacant positions as needed
• Work with a continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities for greater efficiencies
• Ensures accuracy, confirms necessary approvals are obtained for documentation, and communicates effectively with other members of the Human Resources team
• Maintains the highest level of confidentiality regarding all employee information

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or related field
• PHR or SHRM certification strongly preferred
• Minimum of four years of human resources experience.
• Experience working on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written).
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft office software and HRIS software (ADP preferred).
• Strong business acumen and organizational management skills.
